課程概述 |
This course will cover:
1. How to measure stellar parameters.
2. Stellar atmosphere and radiative processes
3. Fundamental equations of stellar evolution.
4. Stellar interiors
5. Stellar stabilities
6. Formation of stars
7. Overview of stellar evolution
8. The end of stars
9. Compact objects
The lectures would be conducted in English.

課程目標 |
1. Describe stellar evolution on the H-R diagram.
2. Describe stellar interiors and explain why it is so.
3. Be familiar with the observation features of stars and able to explain them.
4. Be familiar with physical processes related to the death of stars. |
課程要求 |
Stellar evolution is a good example of applying basic physics principles to real-world situations. Students should have knowledge about advanced undergraduate physics courses. E.g.,
1. Good knowledge of general physics and thermodynamics
2. Basic knowledge of quantum physics.
3. Basic knowledge of calculus and familiarity with the notation and the concepts of differential equations.
